Best products for hardwood floors

The first up on our list is Bona this company was founded in 1919 originally based out of sweden an has quickly made an impact in the cleaning community. Specializing in hardwood floor care how could you turn away from any of its products. They sell a variety of different floor cleaning products but the one that I have used has proven useful yet a little pricey depending on where you go. This product honestly a good buy if it were not so pricey. It does the job and a damn good one.

Is Bona good to clean hardwood floors?

I would say yes because they are literally a company based off of this but sometimes everything that glitters aint gold. Looking at the solution and what it contains majority of their products are water based which is a plus for anyone. To each its own I always say simply because everyone has there own preference on products.

What does Bona do?

Provides a water based solution targeted at dust, dirt, and grime like most common cleaner, however there is no residue left behind. I ha no objections in this area simply because I have tried this product and would recommend to others. You are able to use this product for both spot cleaning and large areas. I wouldn’t expect all the dirt to be wiped away after your first time. Come on give it a chance and let it work its magic. Over time you will start to see your floors come back to life as it looses the residue.

Is bona safe?

I know that we hate wracking our brains asking whether or not proucts are safe. If your worried about the kids or your pets then take a deep breath because it it okay because this product is non toxic. I like to say made with families in mind because the products are non toxic and green guard approved as well. So rest assured your family is safe. I have 3 girls and they don’t seem to mind at all they just continue to play as if the floor was not mopped a couple minutes before,

How often should I clean with Bona?

This is relatively simple if you have loads of traffic rest assured you will only have to clean 2x a week. Now some people may say that this is to much, and others may say that’s not enough. Everyone is different maybe you require a bit more due to the size of your home. Don’t over clean you could damage your floors and dry them out.

Who says swiffer’s are dead

Some people would argue that swiffer has lost it’s touch but I highly believe this not to be true. There was once a time when I to was a swiffer owner and sometimes I still dable with their products. The swiffer line is made up of cleaning products and introduced in the 99′. This is what people like to call a “Razor and Blades” model in which provides you with the machine as long as you keep re-buying the pads.

Is a swiffer a mop?

Well right off the bat I would say no but then that would only be based on appearences not what the product can do. Judging by its unique design depending on the type pf swiffer you choose, you could have the best of both worlds. For instamce the swiffer sweeper gives you the luxury of both a broom and mop. Which is understandeable becasue would want to constantly go back and forth. The goal here would be more efficiant cleaning with less.

Will swiffer ruin my floors?

The answer is no there is no harm here just a ta bit of cleaning. Similiar to Bona the Swiffer is one in the same.

Which is better Bona or Swiffer?

Well bona has the ability to produce a further and wider consistancy when spraying the solution on the floor not that this really matters as long as the outcome is clean. Bona is quite expensive but look at what it can do, the swiffer is the cheaper choice but is no longer all the rave. want to save your pockets on this one go with swiffer.

Was a mop your first choice

Before I knew what I knew now then I wouldn’t recommend mopping your floor. I used to unkowingly mop my floor multiple time a day for the fear that it was always dirty and I ha two kids and a toddler on the move. This didn’t sit well with me, you see to me I saw It a cleaning but to everyone else It was simply pushing dirty water around. Literally my floors were not getting any cleaner than before I started.

How often should you mop hardwood floors?

Routine cleaning in place because if you don’t have a schedule than nothing will get done. For high traffic areas where your home see’s the most traffic I would say clean about 1 to 2 times a week. For the less utilized areas you are free to clean once a month.

What is the best thing to clean wood floors?

While most people love buying products because it is easy for them but there is an even cheaper alternative that some people don’t really know about. Vinegar, yes the number one cleaning solution if you cam stand the smell. 1/2 cup of vinegar dialuted with water will do the trick. I have used this method quite a few times in the past and even up to now.

Best machine for hardwood floors

(Retail Price at Home Depot $50 Walk In Only)

When I was first faced with this problem I was a little frantic because I didnt believe that I would find anything. The time frame that I would have to wait was just pure craziness and come to find out it was coming from oversees. Cancelled that plan and moved on, as I continued my search I walked into home depot and with that the best day of my life. I found a Swiffer Bissel Steam Mop. This invention has literally changed my life and I love using it. I find myself lloking for reasons just to clean my floors. Quite odd if you ask me but it’s addictive (lol), You have the best of both worlds because the pads gives you a sense of clean. Add a little team to the mix and it makes you feel like your floors couldn’t be any cleaner.

Do the pads still apply?

Yes, the pads are still a must with this machine but if you ask me they last longer do to the steam. I was worried taht this machine wouldn’t work or the pads would dry out really fast. The first pad I used I thought dried out but it didnt, I was able to accomplish an entire room. The pads are moist and will get you through the job at hand, all while having an enjoyable moment.

If all else fails ditch the mop

At this point it is safe to say that a mop just isn’t getting the job done anymore now a days and that’s okay. Don’t be discouraged while trying to find something that works for you everything takes time. Here are some suggestions of mine I hope they are useful. Anyone want to share how you clean your floors?
